The non pressure gravity feed complete system consists of vacuum glass tube collector, and insulated storage tank, feeder tank, and a stand. the evacuated glass tuve are filled with water and exposed to the sun. Thus heating up the water in the glass tubes. as the specific gravity of cold water is heavier than hot water, the hot water in the glass tubes starts to rise in the insulated water tank and the cold water in the tank sinks in to the glass tubes. As this cycle is repeated, water in the solar water heater gets heated. this process in known as the thermosyphon and is based on natueral convection.

SAFETY PRECAUTION

  1. Solar water heater/collector should always be kept and placed out of reach of infants and children.
  2. do not touch or put cold water inside the vacuum tubers if the tuves have been exposed to sun twith out water inside.
  3. the water temperature of the solar water heater can be very high, so please adjust the mixing valve to a suitable positon carefuly anbd test water before bathing. Hot water above 50°c can cause scalding.

 

MAINTENANCE

  1. Regualary inspect the solar water heater rtank to make sure its not damaged.

Also check for any rusting in the plumbing lines. Do necessary repairs using the authorized service provider.

  1. Blockage or damage to the vent pipes can created severe damage to the solar water heater. once this situation happen , colse the cold water inlet and hot water outlet valves immediately and call the authorized service provider for rectification of the problem.
  2. Do not connect any type of pressure relief device to the vent pipe of this water heater.
